Falling Water Shawl Knitting Pattern

Knit in fingering weight yarn, the Falling Water Shawl pattern features an elegant, easy lace stitch and lots of soothing garter stitch.

The shawl begins with a cast-on of just three stitches and gradually grows longer, with a column of lace flowing up the right side and garter stitch on the left. Yarn overs worked on the left side create the shawl’s triangular shape. It ends with a simple knit-purl section that can be worked over any number of stitches — which means you can make the shawl as long (or short) as you’d like.
