How to knit Cable Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 14 stitches + 8 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 24 stitches (14 + 8 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only Right Side Rows.
On Wrong Side Rows, work stitches as they appear; when working purl garter stitch purl the stitches.
The pattern repeat = 14 stitches wide.
Begin with 1 edge stitch, work patt rep throughout, end with 8 stitches after patt rep and 1 edge stitch.
Abbreviation:
k: Knit
p: Purl
purl purl gst (1 st in purl garter stitch): purl in right side and wrong side rows
C6B (k3 + k3): slip 3 stitches to cable needle, hold to back, K3, K3 from cable needle
